Another hike you can do with a stroller. (2-3 hours) Unfortunately for us the weather was not ideal and we had to return before Walboda. The path follows the river and all you can see are trees, mountains, grass,…its beautiful. We even spotted two beavers.
We found this hike on a list of hikes you can do with strollers. Its a nice 5 km circular hike and Im happy we did it but the whole trip I was thinking that is a pity not to have bikes here. Its perfect easy biking terrain. Path next to the river, all flat, crossing the fields and small villages, romantic even. I think we will come back for a bike weekend.
You can visit Austria on the way. As we did. How fun is the picture of my boys. Each of them in different country.
First of all thank you Google for showing us the way. There are no signs on the road.
It’s newer and smaller than the Obere Burg but still nice to visit. Its 5 minutes drive from the Upper castle.
In Schellenberg you can see 2 of the 3 ruins in the country. Obere Burg means Upper Castle and yes you guessed it there is a Lower Castle too. Check the other post.
The ruins are in good state( if you can say that about ruins) ,it is very clean and very well maintained.
Its a short visit but well worth.
My son loved it. He thought its one big playground for him to explore
